  Mark Stauffer  

Mark Stauffer serves as the Vice President of Back Mountain Soccer and is the head women’s soccer coach at Misericordia University.

In his time at Misericordia, Stauffer has led the Cougars to multiple conference championships, and numerous deep runs in the NCAA tournament. 

  • Fifteen NCAA Tournament Appearances (02, 04, 05-07, 11-18, 21-22) 

  • Sweet 16 (2012, 2013, 2014, 2018, 2021, 2022) 

  • Elite 8 (2012, 2018, 2022)

  • Final 4 (2012) 

  • 2012 NSCAA National Coach of the Year 

  • NSCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Coach of the Year (2012, 2022)

  • MAC Coach of the Year (2022)

Stauffer graduated from Misericordia University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in chemistry and physics. He ranks among Misericordia’s all-time leaders in five categories, including career points, goals and assists and single-season points and goals.

Stauffer currently holds his USC/NSCAA premier coaching diploma and is a regional staff coach for the USC/NSCAA.

  Andy Loughnane  

Andy Loughnane is the current head men’s soccer coach at the University of Scranton. He also serves Back Mountain as the Recreation Director. 

From 2016 to 2024, Andy was the head coach of the men's team at Misericordia. During his tenure, he led the team to six postseason berths, won fifty-five victories, and was named MAC Freedom Coach of the Year in 2016.

​

Additionally, Andy has served as the Head Coach/Sporting Director of NPSL City Shock from 2017 to 2023 and as an Assistant Men's Coach at University of Scranton from 2011 2015. He is a graduate of Caldwell University, where he was a two-time team captain, and holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry and a master's degree in biochemistry from the University of Scranton.

  • USC Special Topics - Key Moments of the Game and Sports Psychology

  • US Soccer Grassroots license 

  • TOVO V1 Methodology Diploma

  Tayler Jamison  

Tayler Jamison is the current assistant coach for Misericordia Women's Soccer. 
 
Tayler is also the head coach for Back Mountain Torrent, playing in UWS2. In 2023, she was named UWS2 Coach of the Year after winning the conference championship and earning promotion for the team to UWS League One.

Additional list of Tayler's past positions and accomplishments:

  • Former Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator, Washington University in St. Louis

  • Former Director of Coaching, Back Mountain Soccer Club

  • Played collegiately at Virginia Commonwealth University and West Chester University

Jamison earned her bachelor’s degree in exercise science, and a master’s degree in business.

Ozzy Rios

Ozzy has over twenty years of coaching and training experience at multiple levels including club, high school, and college.

​

Ozzy has both his grassroots coaching license and is a PIAA licensed referee.

​

Some of Ozzy's experience includes:

  • Coach, US Olympic Development Program

  • Assistant Coach, Abington Heights, West Scranton, and Scranton High Schools

  • Assistant Coach, Penn State University - Scranton, Lackawanna College

  • Co-founder, Lackawanna County Soccer Club

  • Coach and Trainer, various clubs in NEPA

Lilly Cross

Lilly is the current women's assistant coach at Wilkes University.

​

Cross was formerly the head women's soccer coach at Keystone College from 2022-2023 and the head assistant coach in 2019 and 2020. Cross is the current head coach for Back Mountain Torrent of the UWS. In 2023, she served as the associate head coach for the Torrent. Cross played her college soccer at Messiah University, winning three MAC Commonwealth championships and finishing as the national runner up in 2016. She graduated with her degree in athletic training in 2019.

  Erin Roberts  
  Erin Roberts  

Erin Roberts is a former standout midfielder for the Misericordia Women’s Soccer program. 
 
In her time there, Misericordia won 3 consecutive conference titles and made multiple deep runs in the NCAA tournament. She led the team as captain to two Sweet 16’s, and a Final Four in 2012. 

Roberts also received numerous individual awards throughout her playing career. Some of which include:

  • Rookie of the Year 

  • All Conference 1st Team (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014)

  • All Region 1st Team (2013, 2014) 

  • Defensive Player of the Year (2013, 2014)

Roberts earned her bachelor’s degree in health science, and a master’s degree in speech-language pathology.

Madi Welliver

Madi Welliver is the graduate assistant coach for the Misericordia University Women's Soccer Team.

 

Madi's playing accolades include:

  • 2019 Landmark Conference Defensive Player of the Year

  • 2018 All-Landmark second-team

  Emma Sweitzer  

Emma Sweitzer is a current second year Midfielder/Forward for the Misericordia University Women's Soccer Team. Emma is also a rostered member of pro-am UWS2 team, Back Mountain Torrent.
 
During her two seasons at Misericordia, Emma won the following awards:

  • ​National Player of the Year (2022)

  • First-team All-American (2022)

  • Second-team All-American (2021)

  • Second-team Academic All-American (2022)

  • First-team All-MAC Freedom (2021, 2022)

  • MAC Offensive Player of the Year (2022)

  • MAC Freedom Rookie of the Year (2021)

  • Set School Record for both goals (24) and points (64) in a season
